Speaking of TED2011, I wanted to share a post from a fellow classmate who highlighted an interesting topic from this year’s conference: a virtual choir project. Eric Whitacre, a popular composer, unveiled a 2-minute clip of his project during his talk. Whitacre composed this clip from submissions he received from around the world, joining them together to make one beautiful piece.

TED2011: Bringing the Conference to You

TED ConferenceOf course we can’t let the TED conference come and go without saying anything about it. TED2011, held last week in Long Beach, CA, focused on “The Rediscovery of Wonder.” While I admit I haven’t watched any of this year’s talks yet, I definitely plan to catch some of them as they’re posted online.

TED Talks are a excellent example of technology at work. Their tagline says it all: Riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world. Using technology, including their website and YouTube channel, TED shares their talks with people all over the world, free of charge.
